How Pukena helps
Service models for employers
/services explains how Pukena helps you recruit, verify and deploy talent. /professionals is where you discover who you can hire.
Management Contract
Pukena recruits, verifies and remains involved after deployment.
Homes and businesses that want structured recruitment plus ongoing workforce coordination — payroll pathways, replacements and client success where your package includes them.
Recruitment & verification fees are package-based. Staff salaries are separate. See /pricing for current packages.
What Pukena handles
- Structured sourcing and role-aware screening
- Identity, reference and role-fit verification
- Shortlist presentation with context
- Deployment documentation and onboarding coordination
- Ongoing workforce management per contract terms
- Replacement pathways on eligible packages
What you handle
- Role brief, schedule and compensation decisions
- Final candidate selection and day-to-day direction
- Workplace policies and performance expectations
How hiring works
- Submit a hire request with role, schedule and requirements
- Confirm package and commercial model on your clarity call
- Review screened shortlists and interview candidates
- Select your hire — deployment proceeds through your Pukena workspace
Ongoing support: Management Contract means Pukena stays involved after placement — not just a one-off recruitment handoff.
Direct Hire
Structured recruitment and verification — you manage staff directly after placement.
Employers who want Pukena to source, screen and verify candidates but will manage the employment relationship themselves after deployment.
Contingency placement roles may use a placement fee on resumption instead of an upfront processing fee. Office roles vary by catalog configuration.
What Pukena handles
- Candidate sourcing matched to your brief
- Role-aware screening and interviews
- Verification and documentation before shortlist
- Placement and handoff coordination
What you handle
- Day-to-day management after deployment
- Payroll, HR policy and performance management
- Replacement decisions outside Pukena contract scope
How hiring works
- Submit your hire request and confirm Direct Hire commercial terms
- Pay the recruitment fee according to your package
- Review shortlists, select and deploy
- Manage the employee directly — Pukena does not provide ongoing workforce management on Direct Hire
Ongoing support: Direct Hire does not include managed workforce benefits after placement. Do not expect Management Contract replacements or payroll coordination unless explicitly agreed.
Professional Search (Contingency)
Search and placement for selected office and specialist roles.
Businesses hiring office support, customer operations or specialist roles where contingency placement is configured — no upfront processing fee; placement fee when your hire starts.
Applicable to configured catalog roles (e.g. receptionist, executive assistant, recruitment officer). Not all roles use contingency pricing.
What Pukena handles
- Role brief and search strategy
- Candidate sourcing and screening
- Shortlist coordination and interview support
- Placement documentation on successful hire
What you handle
- Final hiring decisions and compensation
- Employment management after resumption
- Placement fee per configured commercial terms
How hiring works
- Create your employer account and submit a role brief
- Pukena searches and screens against role requirements
- Interview shortlisted candidates
- Placement fee applies when your selected hire resumes
Ongoing support: Contingency placement is recruitment-focused. Ongoing workforce management requires a Management Contract where available.
Part-Time & On-Demand Domestic
Flexible household staffing on published part-time schedules.
Households needing drivers, nannies, housekeepers or chefs on part-time weekly schedules rather than full-time live-in or live-out placement.
Published starting rates exist for select domestic roles. Full-time packages are priced separately.
What Pukena handles
- Published part-time packages and booking paths
- Role-appropriate screening before assignment
- Coordination for scheduled domestic work
What you handle
- Schedule selection and household instructions
- Day-to-day supervision during booked hours
- Package or booking fees per published rates
How hiring works
- Choose your role and part-time schedule path
- Complete the booking or hire request flow
- Pukena matches screened professionals to your schedule
Ongoing support: Part-time paths use separate commercial treatment from full-time Management or Direct Hire packages.
Existing Workforce Adoption
Bring current staff into structured Pukena documentation and management.
Employers who already employ household or business staff and want Pukena to adopt them into managed workforce documentation — without a full new recruitment cycle.
Commercial treatment is confirmed on review. Not a substitute for recruiting new candidates.
What Pukena handles
- Adoption request review and eligibility assessment
- Documentation and onboarding into Pukena systems where approved
- Transition into eligible management pathways
What you handle
- Disclosure of existing employment arrangements
- Continuity of staff relationship during transition
- Commercial terms specific to adoption requests
How hiring works
- Submit an existing workforce adoption request through your account
- Pukena reviews eligibility and scope
- Approved staff transition into structured management where configured
Ongoing support: Adoption is distinct from new recruitment — it formalises staff you already employ.
